Louis and Clark on the paranormal frontier

Happy New Year from the staff of The Dystopian. Dave launches the multi-threaded story Louis and Clark this week with a short serial called “A Discovery of Animals.”

It was road stop diner, and they were a pair, one male, one female. Walking in, they glanced around and moved toward a table occupied by one person. The male spoke up as they approached.

The chapter will go up in parts over the next couple days. You can find it in the Stories section.

Bobby Jones is having a bad day

The Dystopian is happy to announce the first installment of a new story is up. This one’s called “The Diary of Bobby Jones,” by our creative lead, Drew. From the introduction:

Bobby Jones was your average teenage boy. A steady B-average, an annoying—and more popular—little sister, and parents that never quite “got” him. Then he lost it in one moment, in a bizarre attack one day after school. Bobby woke up in a dark room half the size of his bedroom with a sore neck.

Chills, thrills, and a 12×12 foot room await. You can check it out over on the Stories page or go directly to Day 1 of Bobby’s diary.

Progress!

The design’s just about squared away for now. More contributors (and their content) will be coming soon. For now, I’ll start it off with a story I’ve had in the works for a bit now called “Kaiser,” about a college professor who also deals with zombies. It’s fun to write, so I hope it’s also fun to read. Check out the first part here.

Welcome

The site is slowly getting started. I’m getting the theme in place and wading through php to get everything working, then we’ll take the site live.
